CANSKATE - Learn to Skate Programs Spring 2019 

       Pre-CANSkate Program

      For skaters 3 to 4 years old* and/or who have never skated or passed a PreCanSkate Program.

• Program designed for children who have not skated before.
• Taught in a group lesson format, includes a 10 minute “off-ice” pre-session warm-up.
• Teaches basic on-ice movement and pre-requisite skills for CanSkate.

      Note: *Skater must be 3 years of age as of March 1^st, 2019

      Required Equipment (see the PreCANSkate Parent Handbook)

• CSA Approved Hockey Helmet, with full face mask
• Skate guards, in the event of arena emergency, to ensure safe exit from the building.

   SPRING 2019 PreCANSkate Session Information & Fees

   *Skate Canada Insurance/Safe Sport Fee is a one-time fee for skaters from Sept 2018-Aug 2019, will not not apply if you registered for Fall/Winter 2018-2019 Skating and adjusted during online           registration;           ASC Admin Fee covers costs to support club administration/online registration fees, applied to Fall/Winter and to the Spring seasons.

DISCOUNT $50 for families with 3 or more registered skaters, contact the club for more information.

        CANSkate Program

         4 years old (if passed PreCanSkate), or 5 to 13 years old

        Required Equipment (see the CANSkate Parent Handbook):

• CSA Approved Hockey Helmet, optional full face mask
• Skate guards, in the event of arena emergency, for safe exit from the building 

SPRING 2019 CANSkate Session Information & Fees

      ADVANCED CANSkate Program

     Offered to skaters by coach recommendation/invite only (as of March 2019)

     A 50-minute coach led group session for skaters working toward completing Stage 6 and introduction to figure skating skills. Groups divided based on skill level.

     Skater must also register for ONE other CANSkate session (Tues or Thurs)     (e.g., skate twice per week as per letter of invite).

     Required Equipment:

• Must have figure skates
• CSA Approved Hockey Helmet
• Skate guards, in the event of arena emergency, for safe exit from the building
